Introducing the Nickel Wallet

I am so excited to be releasing my first pattern, The Nickel Wallet!

This project is perfect for using up your scraps of cork, vinyl, leather or even Kraft Tex! You can use any non fraying material for this little gems! There are only two pattern pieces to cut and only two seams! Most of my testers made theirs in under 15 minutes from cutting to finishing!

There is one deeper center pocket perfect for storing your cash and two smaller card slot pockets for your cards and ID. My testers did an amazing job of adding their own flair to them and showing how versatile this quick little project is!

This would be a great first project for those looking to play with leather or cork for the first time and since it uses scraps you don’t have to worry about getting a large amount to try.

The quick sewing makes them perfect for those who make for craft fairs or markets and make one (or four) up for them boys in your life who always feel like we never make them anything.

You can download this FREE pattern on Craftsy here.

Check out all the fabulous versions my testers stitched up:

Bree of MyCraftyCrap made these two for teacher gifts in her school colors:

Abbe of Just an E went wild adding some style to hers! I just love all the variations she made!

Amy shows how perfectly this Wallet stitches up in leather and printed vinyl!

Jenny of Sincerely Jen Patterns did this gorgeous leather version that looks so high end!

Wendy Franczak, co-founder of the Modern Stitching Affair made this one with gold flecked natural cork and it’s so perfect!

Reece of Happy Okapi made her fun green version in Kraft Tex! I hadn’t even thought about that until she made this one and it’s another perfect material to use for this!

Cheryl of Cheryl’s Quilts and Crafts made her minimalist version in black vinyl, simple but classic:

Jessica of Twigs and Needles made hers with this gorgeous leather!

Natalie of Sew Hungry Hippie made hers with this fab sparkly vinyl, which she carries in her shop. She carries so many fun vinyls and any of them would be perfect for this wallet, go see how many
amazing options she has here.

Wendy of W.D. Handbags made two versions, one in cork and one in this fun printed vinyl. She added an additional line of top stitching at the top and reduced the seam allowance to 1/8" to make it able to hold more cards:

Gwen of GML Designs made this beautiful leather version that is so chic:

Tara of Uh Oh Creations whipped up this gorgeous chestnut leather version:

I am loving seeing some of these gems pop up already! I can't wait to see yours! Go grab the free pattern and use up some of those scraps you've been holding onto.
